Rental Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to vehicle rentals made through Kuzey Car Rental. By completing a rental, the customer agrees to the terms specified in the rental agreement.

1. Insurance and Coverage

* All vehicles in the Kuzey Car Rental fleet are covered by Rent A Car insurance.
* Insurance coverage is subject to the terms, exclusions and any applicable excess or deductible specified in the rental agreement.
* Breaches of the rental agreement or the use of the vehicle by unauthorized drivers may affect insurance coverage and the renter’s responsibilities.
* In the event of an accident, damage or similar incident, the renter must notify the company and complete the required official procedures.

2. Equivalent or Substitute Vehicles

* The vehicle selected during booking represents the relevant vehicle category.
* If the reserved vehicle is unavailable on the scheduled collection date, a vehicle in the same category or an equivalent vehicle may be provided.
* A vehicle from a higher category may be offered where necessary.

3. Driver Requirements

* The renter must be at least 23 years old.
* The renter must hold a valid driving licence for at least one year.
* Only drivers named in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
* If an additional driver is requested, their details must be added to the rental agreement, and they must meet the applicable requirements.
* Use of the vehicle by an unlisted driver may affect insurance coverage and the renter’s responsibilities.

4. Mileage Policy

* All rentals include a daily mileage allowance of 300 kilometres.
* Turkish citizens residing abroad are eligible for unlimited mileage on rentals of 20 days or more.
* The unlimited mileage benefit applies to customers who meet the stated rental duration and eligibility requirements.
* For rentals not eligible for unlimited mileage, excess mileage beyond the daily limit of 300 kilometres is charged at TRY 15 per additional kilometre.

5. Payment and Security Deposit

* Depending on the rental period and booking conditions, payment may be made in cash or by card at vehicle collection.
* The accepted payment method must be confirmed during booking or before vehicle collection.
* Security deposit requirements may vary depending on the vehicle category, rental period and booking conditions.
* The applicable deposit amount and refund conditions will be communicated to the customer before the rental begins.

6. Booking, Cancellation and Amendments

* Cancellation requests may be submitted before the scheduled vehicle collection time.
* Cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with the cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking.
* Changes to the vehicle, rental dates or collection time are subject to availability.
* Booking amendments are subject to confirmation by Kuzey Car Rental.

7. Vehicle Collection and Return

* The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time in accordance with the conditions specified in the rental agreement.
* Customers are advised to inspect the vehicle for existing damage at collection and ensure that any relevant damage is recorded.
* Any extension of the rental period must be requested and approved by the company before the scheduled return time.
* Additional charges for late returns are applied in accordance with the rental agreement and the applicable charges communicated to the customer.

8. Traffic Fines and Road Tolls

* Traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
* Bridge tolls, motorway charges and other road tolls incurred during the rental period are payable by the renter.
* Subsequent charges relating to these expenses, including any applicable service fees, are handled in accordance with the conditions communicated in advance.

9. Vehicle Use and Renter Responsibilities

* The vehicle must be driven in compliance with traffic regulations and applicable laws.
* Using the vehicle for racing, driving instruction, commercial transportation or any purpose prohibited by the rental agreement is not permitted.
* The vehicle may not be sublet or transferred to a third party without the company’s authorization.
* The renter must notify the company as soon as reasonably possible in the event of a breakdown, damage or accident.

10. General Provisions

* The signed rental agreement and the conditions communicated to the customer before the rental determine the applicable rental terms.
* These website terms must be read together with the rental agreement.
* Consumer rights provided under applicable law remain unaffected.
